Five shooters in position, the goalkeeper in the middle of the goal.
How to run it
The goalkeeper faces shots from the left wing, left back, centre back, right back and right wing and sets their position for each one. Trains positioning, moving between angles and quick reactions.

Coaching points
- Stand on the line between the ball and the middle of the goal, about one step out.
- Against wing shots: cover the near post with the body, the far side with arm and leg.
- Small quick side steps between positions – don't cross your legs.
- Weight on the balls of the feet, hands up and forward. Be set before the shot.
- Shooters wait until the goalkeeper is in position – this is the goalkeeper's drill.
Variations
Easier
Shooters use half power and call out which corner they are aiming for.
Harder
The coach points to who shoots next in any order, or two shots straight after each other.
